The International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo
January 17, 2025 - January 26, 2025

The International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo is an annual circus festival held every January in Monaco. Created in 1974 by Prince Rainier III of Monaco, the festival aims to recognise and promote circus performers at the pinnacle of their profession. Initially held in Monte Carlo, the festival moved to its permanent venue, the Chapiteau de Fontvieille in Monaco’s Fontvieille district, upon its completion.
The festival showcases circus acts from around the world, performed for paying audiences and judged by a jury of circus professionals, specialists, and journalists. Awards are given for the best circus acts, including the prestigious Golden Clown (Clown d’or), Silver Clown (Clown d’argent), and Bronze Clown (Clown de bronze) statuettes.
